Amazon makes a strong case for logistics

04.04.2024

Amazon is once again a partner of Supply Chain Day 2024. The online mail order company has been supporting this day of action since 2022 and is also involved in the economic sector beyond that.

The Europe-wide ‘Supply Chain Day’ campaign day has once again gained Amazon as a partner company for 2024. Partners support Supply Chain Day not only financially, but also in achieving its goals. Above all, these are to make logistics visible to the public and to create awareness of its functions, diversity and attractiveness. In this way, the companies are simultaneously committed to the day of action and to the economic sector as a whole. In return, they receive a presence in all public channels of the Supply Chain Day as well as the opportunity to help shape it, support in promoting their events and, if desired, further individual communication and visibility benefits.

Online mail order company supports again

Amazon is a partner of the day of action for the third time in a row. The online mail order company has been organising events on Supply Chain Day since 2010. This year, the company is once again taking part in the Action Day programme, with Amazon providing exciting insights at many logistics, sorting and distribution centres. Interested parties can experience at first hand how varied the jobs in logistics are, including attractive entry-level and further training opportunities.

‘Amazon and its teams have been firmly rooted in Germany for over 25 years and are there for their customers. We are delighted to be supporting Supply Chain Day again this year to give the sector and the people behind it the attention they deserve. Efficient logistics is like a large orchestra in which our great colleagues work hand in hand with state-of-the-art technology and all the pieces of the puzzle have to fit together,’ says Martin Andersen, Country Director AMZL MEU, who is responsible for the last mile at Amazon in Germany.
