Amazon Logistics Network Germany

Logistics is at the heart of the Amazon customer experience

Amazon has been active in Germany for over 20 years. Since opening its first logistics centre in Bad Hersfeld in 1999, Amazon has put a total of 20 logistics centres, 10 sorting centers and over 60 distribution centers into operation. Amazon will open two more logistics centers in 2024, in Erfurt in early summer and in Horn-Bad Meinberg. We take care of everything: from the moment customers click on "Buy now" to the moment the goods are delivered to their door.

It takes dedicated employees, a lot of coordination and state-of-the-art technology to be able to deliver quickly and reliably at all times. Therefore, around 20,000 employees are active in a wide range of areas: Occupational safety, health management, IT, human resources, process optimisation, technology, shipping and more. The introduction of state-of-the-art transport robots at many of our locations has created new development and career opportunities for employees. You can work hand-in-hand with transport robots in shipping, or train at Amazon and maintain and service the robots. Opportunities for young careers include our apprenticeship programme and dual study programmes in exciting professions.
